Hermodactylus tuberosus (Snake's head iris)

Tuberous perennial with lance shaped leaves appearing in winter or early spring. Flowers on 40cm stems an unusual yellowish green with purplish brown to blackish falls. Takes a couple of years to settle in then really starts to flower. Choose a sunny spot.
