This one starts off quite rose coloured and then fades to softer antique tones as the flower ages. it really is stunning and just gets better and better with time. Scented semi double blooms on strong stems. 70-80cm bush. Very hardy.
Itoh peonies are a cross between a herbaceous and a tree peony with a growth form similar to the herbaceous but some of the flower form and colour characteristics of tree peonies.
Itohs generally take longer to hit their stride but are well worth the wait. They just need the same amount of space as other peony tubers and grow in a very similar way.
