Printanor is a white skinned variety with firm cloves of mid to strong flavour. Excellent storage qualities. You break up the bulb and plant each of the cloves which should then turn into a full-sized bulb. New Zealand grown.
While garlic was traditionally planted on the shortest day with the prevalence of rust it's now suggested planting any time from early April, so the majority of growth is in the cooler parts of the year. Garlic like lots of food, sun and no competition from weeds or other plants.
