Deep dark red blooms with golden anthers that protrude around an interestingly formed centre. Strong stems. 90cm bush. Very hardy.
Itoh peonies are a cross between a herbaceous and a tree peony with a growth form similar to the herbaceous but some of the flower form and colour characteristics of tree peonies.
Itohs generally take longer to hit their stride but are well worth the wait. They just need the same amount of space as other peony tubers and grow in a very similar way.
