Sage common


Salvia officinalis  One of the basic must have herbs. The perfect accompaniment to pork, veal or duck, it works well in stuffing.  Also use in pasta sauces or fry leaves to use as a tasty garnish.  Strong flavour so use sparingly. Also has many medicinal uses. Perennial with grey/green leaves and soft blue flowers. Likes sun.  Hates wet feet. 50cm.
